The “Unofficial” Stuff
I grew up in a 100 year-old house originally built for employees of the Steinway Piano factory in Queens, NY.
My writing resume has a weirdly ornithological bent, having been published by two bird related entities: Stork Magazine and Two Cranes Press. I promise to let you know if Penguin comes through.
In high school, I played Juliet and forgot fifty percent of my lines. I was lucky and the performance went over well. Most people don’t notice when Shakespeare’s text is abridged, and they end up liking it better.
I once dated an ice cream maker who worked on a cricket-based flavor commissioned by a local amateur entomologist club. I still wish he’d allowed me to taste the vaguely top-secret recipe.
I haven’t owned a pogo-stick since I was ten, but I bet I could still do a double-high bounce with no hands.
I’ve been baking a ton of bread these days, but have yet to perfect the finer aspects of a non-burnt crust.
